Dr. Rudolph “Rudy” Moise was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and moved to the United States at age 17 . Rudy believed that in America he could find great opportunity and dedicated himself to learning English and completing his high school education.
Rudy continued his studies and earned his Undergraduate Degree at the University of Illinois and his Doctorate Degree in Osteopathy from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He later earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Miami, and a Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law .
Dr. Moise holds a Flight Surgeon Degree from the US Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine and serves as a Colonel in the US Air Force Reserve .
Since 1984, Rudy has been the President and Medical Director of Comprehensive Health Center, located in the heart of the district, North Miami. The facility has served more than 25,000 people in the local community.
Rudy is also a successful businessman and was awarded the “Black Business of the Year Award” by the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce and the “Community Leadership Award in 2004. In 2005, The Business Journal named Dr. Moise one of five finalists for the “Best Physician of the Year” Award in South Florida.
Now, Rudy wants to put his experience as a physician, attorney, military man, businessman and devoted family man to work in Washington for the people of Florida's 17 th Congressional District. Rudy wants to create more good jobs and help implement the recently passed Health Care Reform. Rudy and his wife Mirjam have two young children, Rudy, Jr. and Maya.
